VINTAGE BOATS > TYPES OF BOAT


VINTAGE BOATS

These are wooden or steel hulled boats launched at any time up to 31st December 1949. They can be divided into three classes according to their rig and sail:
· VINTAGE A: Vintage boats with gaff rigs
· VINTAGE B: Vintage boats with a Marconi sail and ketch, yawl or schooner rig
. VINTAGE C: Vintage boats with Marconi sails and sloop or cutter rig

CLASSIC BOATS

These boats were launched between 1st January 1950 and 31st December 1974 :
· CLASSIC B: Classic boats with Marconi sails and ketch, yawl or schooner rig
· CLASSIC C: Vintage boats with Marconi sails and sloop or cutter rig

THE SPIRIT OF TRADITION

Boats built using current techniques and materials but which, on the basis of their external appearance, have certain similarities with the vintage boats of the past.

VELA LATINA (LATEEN SAIL)
Boats with a triangular sail that is slung from a lateen yard, raised at an angle to the mast.
