The "Real Fundación Hispania de Barcos de Época" (“Royal Hispania Foundation of Vintage Boats”), announces the XXX Edition of the “TROFEO ALMIRANTE CONDE DE BARCELONA” regatta, organized by the Real Fundación Hispania, Hispania Regatta Club, with the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Sailing association (RFEV), the Federación Balear de Vela (“Balearic Sailing Federation”), Federación Madrileña de Vela (“Madrid Sailing Federation”), and), and with the institutional support of the Consejo Superior de Deportes (National Sports Council) and the Real Asociación Nacional de Cruceros (Royal National Cruising association).
This event is a qualifying for the Classic and Vintage National Championship 2014 and will be held from the 20th to the 24th of August, both inclusive in the waters of the Bay of Alcudia.
1.1 The regatta will be run in compliance with the following rules:
a) The Rules as defined in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing, ISAF. 2013-2016.
b) Comité International de la Méditerranée (CIM) current Rules for Vintage and Classic boats.
c) Current rules for boats which are entered into the IRC Spirit of Tradition category
d) The rules governing 8, 12 and 15 Metre boats.
e) Current Lateen Rigged boats, class rules
f) Special regulations governing offshore Racing ISAF, Category 4.
g) International Rules for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.
h) Technical Cruising Regulations of the RFEV 2014 (Chapter VI).
1.2 The event will be category C (Art. 18 CIM)
1.3 In case of any discrepancy between the present Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions, the latter one shall prevail.
1.4 In case of any discrepancy between the Spanish and English versions of this Notice of Race, the Spanish text will prevail.
2.1 The advertisement of this event is established in Rule 20.3.1 and 2, 20.4 of the ISAF Regulation 20, and the Competition Rules and prescriptions of the RFEV, to this rule.
2.2. In accordance with point 20.4 of this regulation, all boats shall exhibit the sponsors advertising if established in the Sailing Instructions. The advertising elements will be provided by the sponsor.
3.1 The competitors shall comply with ISAF eligibility code, Rule 19 and the RFEV prescriptions relative to this rule.
3.2 CIM Rule 16.3 shall be applied.
3.3 Participants with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain must possess the Federative Sailing License for 2014.
4.1 The event has established the following classes:
a) Vintage Yacht Class: boats commissioned before the 31st December 1949.
b) Classic Yacht Class: boats commissioned between 1st January 1950 and 31st December 1975.
c) Spirit of Tradition: boats as defined in the CIM with a valid IRC Rating certificate.
d) Big Boats: yachts with boat lengths over 23 m long.
e) International 8, 12 and 15 Meter Classes.
f) Dragon Class (wooden hull)
g) Latin Rigged boats.
h) Flying Fifteen.
4.2 Groups may be established in each class, in compliance with the CIM regulations, but a minimum of three entered boats must be confirmed to establish a group. Exceptionally, the Organizing Committee may change this minimum.
4.3 As well as any other category determined by the organizing authority, according to the interest of the participants. In any case and under the Organizing Committee, one Division or Class will be established if there is a minimum number of registered boats in order to provide a satisfactory regatta.

Inscription forms shall be filled in and accompanied by an appropriate bank check and/or a payment proof receipt of the inscription fees paid in the bank BANKIA, with account number: IBAN: ES69 / 2038 / 9501 / 61 / 6000059018. BIC (Bank Identifier Code) of Bankia. CAHMESMMXXX and the valid measurement certificate.
5.4 Entry deadline:
Two entry deadlines have been established and will have to be duly complied at the race office. Before 20:00 h on the 18th of July, 2014 and from the 19th of July till the 20th of August.
If any of these requirements are not complied with, this entry form will not be valid.
The organizing committee is not responsible for any costs incurred by the non-acceptance of a boat’s pre-entry.
The requirements for a fully formalized Inscription are:
5.5 Competitor’s Registration: Each owner shall register and personally sign the registration form in the ALCUDIA Regatta Office before 18:00 of the 20th of August 2014.
If this is not complied, the entry will be cancelled and the fees will not be returned.
5.6 No boat will be registered if, prior to the time indicated under paragraph above , the following original documents have been handed at the Race Office (modifies rule 78.2 RRS).
a) Copy of current measurement certificate.
b) Receipt of payment for valid insurance policy covering liability arising from negligence and damage to third parties while racing, for the amount of 600.000 € (1.202.025€ for boats with LOA > 50 feet).
c) Spanish sailors or a sailor officially living in Spain or a sailor racing on boat affiliated to a Spanish Club, are required to have the 2014 competitor's license issued by the Spanish Sailing Federation. The foreign sailors who do not have a sailing federation license or an athletes’ medical insurance with accidents coverage, will have to prove to own an accidents and illness insurance valid in Spain.
d) List of crew members with a passport photocopy or Spanish ID card of each.
e) Name, address and telephone number of a contact person ashore.
f) Liability acceptance form dully filled out and signed.
5.7 After 18:00 h on the 20th of August, 2014, no changes shall be allowed on the Measurement Certificates.
5.8 Delivery of Sailing Instructions: Sailing Instructions will be handed over, after the Registration Form in the Race Office have been signed, in accordance with paragraph 5.6 of this Notice of Race.
6.1 The Schedule is the following:
201th of August: 10.00 to 15.00 hours.Entries and registration confirmation. Sailing instructions delivery.
10.00 a 16.00 hours. Inspection Vintage Boats Cte.
20.00 h. Welcome Reception.
21st of August: 10.00 hours Skippers Meeting.
13.30 hours Racing.
22nd of August: 13.30 hours Racing.
23rd of August: 13.30 hours Racing.
24th of August: 11.00 hours Prize-giving Ceremony.
13.00 hours Grand Parade.
6.2 A maximum of two races will be sailed per day.
6.3 On Saturday the 23rd of August, no start will be made after 15:30 h, unless after a general recall.
6.4 At least one race must be sailed and completed in each class to award the winner of the race in that class.
7. THE COURSES
The course configuration will be described in the Sailing Instructions.
8. INSPECTIONS AND MEASUREMENTS
The Race committee may carry out daily safety and measurement controls at any time during the regatta.
9. SCORING SYSTEM
9.1 The scoring system will be that established in Appendix A4 of the RRV of the ISAF.
9.2 The total sum of points of each boat will be the sum of each individual race, there will be no discard.
There will be a separate classification for each established group.
11.1 The regatta is considered to be Category 4, in accordance with the current ISAF Offshore Special Regulations.
11.2 All boats must carry on board a VHF radio with channels 16 and 69.
11.3 Moreover, competitors must have and keep on board under their own responsibility, up to date registration and ownership documentation of the boat, as well as applicable navigation licenses.
Prizes will be awarded to the first two places in each established class if there is a minimum of 8 boats on the starting line, in any other case, only the first place will be given a prize.
The official list of Trophies shall be published on the Official Notice Board (ONB) prior to the start of the races.
Boats registered and accepted by the Organizing Committee will have a berth reserved at the Regatta Base located in the Port of Alcudia, from the 18h of August until noon of the 25th of August 2014. The Organizing Committee will assign the berths, which will be free of charge and will be occupied under the entire responsibility of the skipper of each boat.
VHF Channel 72 will be used for maneuvers in the harbor.
14. IMAGE RIGHTS
It is forbidden to display any publicity other than that of the Real Fundación Hispania de Barcos de Época, and those the foundation specifically authorizes, by the participants, or by any person, organization and/or element linked directly or indirectly with the organization, person, product, service, brand name or concept meant for marketing and promotional purposes, in any form other than that already established in rule 20.3.1 (b) of Regulation 20 of the ISAF.
Non-compliance with this regulation will result in the automatic expulsion from the competition of the boat exhibiting the unauthorized publicity, with forfeiture of its inscription rights and fees.
The image rights belong exclusively to the “Real Fundación Hispania de Barcos de Época”. All photographs must be presented free of copyright.
15. LOCAL MARINE REGULATIONS
15.1 El R/D 62/2008 de 25 de enero por el que se aprueba el Reglamento de las condiciones de seguridad marítima, de la navegación y de la vida humana en el mar aplicables a las concentraciones náuticas de carácter conmemorativo y pruebas náutico deportivas, será de aplicación.
15.2 Todos los participantes están avisados de que solo podrán participar si su embarcación esta debidamente despachada para navegar por las aguas por las que discurra la regata y que su patrón dispone de la titilación necesaria para ello. La Real Fundación Hispania informa a todos los participantes que dispone de una póliza de seguros de responsabilidad civil. Es responsabilidad de cada barco estar provisto de los seguros complementarios que estime convenientes, además del exigido en el Anuncio de Regatas.
16.1 All boats competing in the race do so at their own risk and responsibility.
16.2 The Organizing Authority and any person or entity involved in the organization of the event will not accept any liability for loss damage, injury or nuisances to people or things, both on the water or ashore, occurring as a result of taking part in the event announced in this Notice of Race.
16.3 Attention is drawn to Fundamental Rule 4 DECISION TO RACE, from Part 1 RRS that states:
“The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone”

18. CHANGES TO THE NOTICE OF RACE
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify this Notice of Race. Any change made to this Notice of Race prior to the 20th of August, will be adequately published (88.2 RRS) on the event’s website: www.fundacionhispania.org
19. PERSONAL DETAILS
“All collected personal details are subject to automated treatment and incorporated into a data file owned by the Real Fundación Hispania Barcos de Época, whose purpose, amongst others, is that of organizing the Trofeo Almirante Conde de Barcelona, and may be yielded to the Club de Regatas Hispania, the Real Federación Española de Vela, and/or other transfers foreseen by the Law. The Real Fundación Hispania Barcos de Época is responsible for the mentioned data file, and the related user may exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to his/her data by means of request via the address Consell de Cent, 318-3º-1ª, 08007 Barcelona, Spain, all of which remains notified pursuant to Article 5 of the Organic Law 15/1999, dated 13th of December, of the Protection of Personal Data.”
